MADRID – The Olympic Channel presents more than 17 hours of the 2019 African Games from 19 to 31 August. Coverage from Rabat, Morocco begins on Monday, 19 August at 20:45 with live streaming of the Opening Ceremony and will be available worldwide at olympicchannel.com and its mobile apps.
In addition to the Opening Ceremony, the Olympic Channel will stream daily highlights from the 12th edition of the African Games. Coverage concludes on Sunday, 31 August with the event’s Closing Ceremony which will stream live.
The 2019 African Games and will feature more than 6,000 of the continent’s best athletes from 54 nations competing in 29 sports disciplines including 17 which offer qualification opportunities for the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020.
The African Games are a multisport competition among athletes of the Africa continent, which are held every four years under the direction of the Association of National Olympic Committees in Africa (ANOCA). In addition to the Moroccan capital of Rabat, competitions will also be held in Casablanca, Sale, Temara, Benslimane and El Jadida.
