2019 season begins 27-28 April with coverage from Medellin, Colombia
MADRID – The Olympic Channel global digital platform presents LIVE streaming coverage of the World Archery 2019 Hyundai Archery World Cup starting this weekend, 27-28 April. Worldwide coverage of the finals of each stop in the world ranking events will be available at olympicchannel.com and its mobile apps.
The 2019 world cup season features five events including Medellin, Colombia from 22 to 28 April, Shanghai, China from 6 to 12 May, Antalya, Turkey from 20 to 26 May, Berlin, Germany from 1 to 7 July, and the World Cup Final (location TBC) from 6 to 7 September.
LIVE streaming coverage from Medellin will begin on Saturday, 27 April at 15:00 (UTC) for the team and individual compound finals, and continue on Sunday, 28 April at 15:00 (UTC) for the team and individual recurve finals. Approximately 205 athletes from 36 countries are expected to compete in Medellin and for the second year in a row, the winners of each category will earn an automatic spot in September’s final.
Highlighting the opening event of the 2019 world cup season in the recurve category are individual defending champions Mauro Nespoli (ITA) and Deepika Kumari (IND). In the individual compound category are last year’s runner-up Abhishek Verma (IND) and defending champion and local superstar Sara Lopez (COL).
